We at Tapoos have made this collection of world’s most infamous serial killers. Authorities are unable to capture and punish these notorious cold-blooded murderers until today. Their meticulous murders are enough to give you nightmares.
Since last years of ’90s, no less than 40 students of the Midwest territory have passed away due to “accidental drowning.” Murderer picked only male victims; all of them were well-known, athletic students with good GPA. Two retired analysts of NYPD suspect that the killer targeted, medicated, and tossed the students into different waterways to make it seem like a suicide or accidental death. Another frightening similarity to these events is the appearance of a smiley face engraved on the nearby surfaces or trees, which has occurred in no less than 12 cases.
In the time span of 2005 to 2009, someone killed eight women in “Jefferson Davis Parish in Jennings, Louisiana”. Every victim had links with drugs and prostitution — the murderer had their throats sliced or choked. However, due to the excessive decomposition of bodies, officials were unable to find an official reason of death. Officials captured a strip club owner and a cousin of one of the casualties, alongside two others. However, police could not prove anything against them because of inadequate evidence. Authorities’ mismanagement of the case is the main reason behind lack of evidence.
In 2006, officials found four dead bodies of prostitutes in the drainage ditch located behind some kind of corrupt motel near the boundaries of Atlantic City. All the victims were mothers. They were clothed but barefoot. While it was impossible to find to an official reason of death because of excessive decomposition of body, the suspicion is that someone strangled the women. Authorities announced a reward of $25000 for any information that can lead to an arrest of the murderer, but the reward is still unclaimed.
On 9 February 2006, someone raped and then strangled a young and pregnant woman in her apartment located in Salt Lake City. After two years, on the very same day, someone strangled a woman who was 55 year old to death in her own apartment. The apartment showed no evidence of the forced entry. These victims were Latino. Theft of jewelry happened in one victim’s apartment. Police was able to find a connection to a single killer with the help of DNA evidence. However, the case went cold over the passage of time. No one could find the killer, suspects or any link of deaths to the date.
Someone killed 13 gay individuals aged 20 to 40 by shooting them in the back of head using a .38 Caliber gun in Sao, Paolo, Brazil. All of these murders occurred from 2007 to 2008. Bodies of half-naked dead victims were found in a well-known meeting point of gays, Paturis Park. In 2008, there was an arrest of a retired police officer. However, court released him in 2011 due to not guilty verdict. This suggested that the real murderer is yet roaming out there.
In the start of 2005, authorities discovered remains of nine women. All of them were black. The location of discovery was “Seven Bridges Road outside of Rocky Mount, North Carolina.” Due to excessive decomposition of bodies, it was impossible to announce the official reason of death. However, authorities confirmed that death of one victim was due to strangulation. It was impossible to solve the case and two women are still missing.
During the spring of 1992, someone shot six women in the head using a .22-bore rifle. They used to work at small stores located in the Midwest. The incident took place during their working hours. The casualties were all youthful, petite, and brown-haired woman. Except for one male victim who police suspected was killed unintentionally; he kept his long hair in a ponytail, which confused the murderer. The murdered ransacked the stores, but since they just had a couple of hundred dollars in the list, police presumed that killing was the main intention. Witnesses gave police a portrayal of the executioner. However, police was unable to capture any suspects.
During 1978 to 1992, there was a discovery of eight dead bodies of young white women in several Southern States. The majority of victims’ hair color was red and they were either hitchhikers or suspected prostitutes. Their bodies were discovered on Major Highways. The reason of death of five out of eight victims was strangulation. Some victims were wearing clothes and some were nude at the time of discovery. Some of them had sexual activity before they died.
During the time of 1986 to 1989, there was a discovery of three dead couples near the Colonial Parkway, Virginia. According to reports, another couple was missing in the same time span. However, no one could find their dead bodies so they are presumed dead. The cause of death for each couple was different. One died because someone strangled them and cut their throats. The reason of another couples’ death were shooting of bullets in the back of their heads. The third couple stabbed to death.
The “Original Night Stalker,” whom we also know by the name of “East area Rapist” committed more than 50 sexual attacks, no less than 100 home attacks, and 12 murders, including his wife, a judge in making and one court clerk. The time of these murders was during 1976 to 1986 and location was near the bay of California. The murderer usually tied up the victims before shooting them to death using a bludgeoned. FBI is still on the case in hopes to arrest this notorious murderer.
Suspected as the first and the last serial murderer of Hawaii, the strangler killed no less than 5 women between 1985 and 1986. He tied the hands of women before raping them and then strangling them to death. Most of the dead bodies were found near water, just after 24 hours of their missing reports. Police arrested a man who tipped the last location of victim, but the court released him because of inadequate evidence.
Starting in 1974, an executioner called the Doodler targeted gay clubs and bars, hitting on some men by portraying their sketch on a mixed drink napkin. He lured men away with guarantees of a tryst, and then cut them to death, and then dumped their bodies along the shoreline. Police arrested a suspect, but they had to set him free when no witnesses or survivors would approach.
During winters of 1976 and 1977, someone kidnapped and killed four kids in Oakland County. The killer sexually attacked and covered both young boys and cleaned one of the victims carefully. The killer didn’t assault girls, and the killer covered one girl like the boy. The killer shot the other victim in the face. The killer laid them tenderly in the snow, some even with their arms crossed on their trunk.
Starting in the spring 1972, someone killed various young men in Manhattan. The five casualties, all of them were black, had their private parts disfigured before the killer cut them to death. In 1974, police captured Erno Soto – a psychiatric patient – in association with the case, after a young man barely got away from an assault. Soto admitted to the murder of the last casualty, yet the court didn’t find him guilty due to mental disorder and restricted to a state psychiatric facility.
Between 1971 and 1972, there was a discovery of six black young female bodies along the interstate highway between Washington, DC, and Maryland. The killer choked the majority of the casualties and assaulted three of them. The executioner, who remains at large till today, mocked the police and one victim’s family. There was a discovery of a note in the pocket of one of the casualties. The note read this, “This is tantamount to my insensitivity [sic] to people especially women. I will admit the others when you catch me if you can! Free-way Phantom.”
Eight months after 24-year-old “Shannan Gilbert” disappeared in Long Island, New York, a cop and his pooch found female remains wrapped in a burlap sack on Gilgo Beach. The remains did not have a match with Shannan. The discovery of Shannan’s body happened, alongside nine different set of remains, in mid-2011. A number of the casualties were escorts who contacted their customers by means of telephone or online right away before they disappeared; the reasons for death varied, and incorporate strangulation, severe beatings, and dismemberment.
A standout amongst the most infamous serial executioners ever, the Zodiac Killer killed five individuals amid the late 1960s and mid ’70s in San Francisco. However, he claimed the murder of almost 37 individuals. He shot four of his casualties in an auto and was able to injure another. Zodiac assaulted two other individuals, but they survived. The executioner started sending notes with coded messages to news outlets to insult the police. One of the main deciphered messages says: “I LIKE KILLING PEOPLE BECAUSE IT IS SO MUCH FUN IT IS MORE FUN THAN KILLING WILD GAME IN THE FORREST MAN IS THE MOST DANGEROU[S] ANAMAL OF ALL.” Despite an insane paranoid notion that 2016 presidential applicant Ted Cruz is the Zodiac Killer, no one knows his identity until today.
