Everyone thinks that small pocket of their jeans has a use to hold the contraception. Obviously, it can do this job along with holding a lot of different things. However, designers made this to serve a different purpose. Levi’s made the small pocket for the first time in 1873. The purpose of small pocket is to hold the pocket watch. The manufacturers still know it officially as the “watch pocket.”

Rivets are more valuable than one could even imagine. For the first time, when the workers wore denim and worked physically, the trouser fell within no time. Luckily then they found a solution. Some studs would strengthen the areas enduring all the strain. This idea became a super hit and became a great success. Now we know the importance of what we wear.

#11 Hole in the cap of ballpoint pen


The common point of view is that the hole allows the flow of air if the cap gets stuck in the user’s throat. It is wrong. If anything goes in the throat, it causes the swelling of the mucous membrane. This hole prevents the membrane from absorbing the cap within it.

All of us think that we can use the waste material to sew the patches of our clothes. It is not the case. Many people may have developed their uses of this hole, but designers initially made these holes to hook the tape on the nails or the screws. In this way, it allows you to measure the distance easily without the issue of slipping.

You might have never noticed this sign before but believe me when I say it can come in handy. When you are driving some rental car, and you do not know on what side the fuel gauge is, this arrow shows you the right direction.

#16 Zigzag side of Bobby pin


This one is basic and straightforward. The curved side is the one made to keep at the bottom. The reason is that it can hold the hair better. In this way, this zigzag helps the hairpin and make your life more comfortable and convenient.
