There is a fine line between a good sex scene which may appear natural and actually arousing and a bad one which might sometimes be plain comical. This is a fine art which requires some form of chemistry and proper acting to pull it off in the desired manner.
Directors also need to make sure it is something subtle and yet strongly erotic as to not just steer into the territory of pornography. However sometimes this balance or this attention to detail in sex scenes is overlooked and what we are left with is a horrible rendition of two people getting down and dirty. Some of the scenes may be awkwardly funny and infact repelling to say the least.
1. Chris Hemsworth and Jessica Chastain- The Huntsman: Winter Wars:
The sex scene between the two could easily be termed the lamest one ever produced. First of all there was absolutely no chemistry between both the actors and there was no impression in the film that both shared anything common. The chemistry was off and it looked like both were made to do the scene against their wishes.
The most the audience could get was a brief show of side boob by Chastain which is quite understandable as it was a P.G 13 movie. But after watching the scene one wonders why even bother about that as well.
2. Melissa Rauch and Sebastian Stan- The Bronze:
Melissa Rauch of The Big Bang Theory fame actually starred and co-written for this movie starring Sebastian Stan as her ex-lover. The story is about how she is gearing up for another chance at the Olympics and her former lover shows up to sabotage her plans. There is an unlikely culmination of both characteras story lines between the bed sheets. Even if forget the story the sex scene itself is more like acrobatic circus rather than intimate. There are cartwheels and flips and headstands which may make them score big on gymnastics perhaps but not at all as a hot, steamy sex scene.
There were a lot of wonderful aspects to this film from the extraordinary CGI to the storyline however the intimacy scene between Jack (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) was not at all convincing. There could have been an element of more risquA added to the scene as interlocking their braids did not really conveyed the intensity. Rather it was actually creepy to be honest.
4. Howard the Duck
It is quite a weird pairing to picture a full almost human like duck banging an actual person. Maybe the more weird it is the better but the scene choreography is nothing to write home about. The strange sex scene between Lea Thompson and the duck lacked originality and it was better to have left the scene out rather than give the audience a vague idea of how ducks with above average intelligence make out with humans.
5. Dakota Johnson-Fifty Shades of Grey:
It is actually surprising to find so many tame sex scenes that one might not expect from a movie touted as packing a lot of hot and steamy passionate intimacy. There is a long list of scenes actually and it is really a question of which scene was worse than the other. The scene of contract signing, then the introduction Anna(Dakota Jhonson) to a?the rooma, the elevator scenes really fail to deliver anything except an idea of how vanilla sex looks like on big screen.
6. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley-Snowden:
The movie based on Snowdenas character as whether he is a heroic whistleblower or a dangerous traitor should be put to one side. The sex scene is actual bone of contention not for controversy rather we should say cringe inducing intimacy.
Snowden (Joseph Gordon Levitt) and Lindsay (Shailene Woodley) are engaging in a much laid back kind of physical intimacy which is just barely making the audience realize they are actually getting it on. However mid-way through the scene Snowden disengages from the act to cover the webcam up as they are in plain view of it. The directions and the cinematography may have projected Snowden as someone with mounting paranoia but the scene actually came across as quite dumb. celebrex for sale, Zoloft withoutprescription.
