You Think Homosexuality Is Not Natural? Think Again

Society has always held two views about homosexuality. One, the traditional view, says that it is an aberration, a mental disorder and unnatural. The other, a more modern view, says that homosexuality is a normal variant of human behavior and sexual orientation.

The Gay community has been gaining traction with their arguments based on scientific evidence. It is also being accepted and getting a softer look from the masses. But just like any other phenomenon of the modern age getting attention, the scientific evidence presented by gay advocacy organizations or individuals are often flawed or falsified.

This gives the traditional view holders a leverage with their claim of ‘normal’ behavior. But ‘normal’ behavior is based on the norms and customs of the age and time. What was considered normative behavior 100 years ago might get frowned upon today?

Homosexuality is actually normal and has existed throughout history. Or is it actually a disease? We will shed some light on this. But before we continue any further, we would like to tell you that we do not support or belong to any gay rights advocacy groups and neither do we belong to any anti-gay movement. We are just going to be logical about this issue of homosexuality.

1. Only humans engage in Homosexuality

Over 1000 species have been shown to engage in homosexuality and pair-bonding. These species include elephants, giraffes, pigeons, penguins, dolphins and many more.

2. Reproduction is the main purpose of sex.

Reproduction is not the only purpose of sex. Sexual intercourse may result in reproduction. Humans constantly engage in non-reproductive sexual intercourse with their spouse or partners. Sexual intercourse has a numerous other benefits. Studies have shown that it improves one’s ability to deal with stress, lowers blood pressure, boosts antibody production, burns calories, improves tissue repair and reduces cholesterol amongst other things.

People may engage in sexual intercourse and not have babies due to impotence or old age. Those couples are being sinful when they marry and have sex.

3. There is no proof of a gay gene.

This intentionally ignores that very few inherited conditions are the result of a single gene. Autism is also not associated with a single gene, but nobody claims that people choose to autistic. Sexual orientation cannot be tied down to a single gene.

4. Homosexuality is caused by childhood abuse or bad parenting

This is false. No scientific link has been established between childhood abuse or trauma and homosexuality. Also, upbringing cannot be blamed for homosexuality. Nothing can be blamed for homosexuality. There is nothing to blame.

5. Sexual orientation can be cured with therapy

People have been trying for a long time to ‘cure’ homosexuality with behavioral therapy. Furthermore, it usually does not result in anything. There have been very few cases where a change of behavior was reported, but none of them resulted in a change in sexual orientation. The president of Exodus International once said that close to 99.99% people reported no change to orientation when subjected to ex-gay therapy.

6. If everyone were gay, the human species would die out.

That is kind of true. But there are various other reasons, which if all of mankind was subjected to would result in complete annihilation of mankind. Hence, there is no harm in some people not being interested in the opposite gender for reproduction. We also cannot ignore the fact that artificial insemination is scientifically possible.

5 Typical Family Members

You come into this world with the best kind of friends you could ever get. A caring dad who goes out to work to provide you with everything you wish for. A loving mom who puts you before anything to shape your future and groom you to be the best ever. An adorable granny who does every silly thing just to make you smile. A wise and humorous grandpa who teaches you a lot with his wise lessons. Cousins, aunts and uncles who could literally take a bullet for you.

These days family reunions are almost non-existent. As everybody seems to be busy with their own lives. However, everybody still wants to belong. There are members in every family who are famous for their traits. Some are up for goofy fun all the time, some will strike you as a gossip every time, then there are some who brag about their success every time you meet them at a family gathering.

This article rounds up some of our most favorite typical family members you will spot at every family gathering. We bet you can’t get enough of them every time you see them at a family get together.

1. The Rescuer Cousin

That one cousin who you look up to, every time you find yourself in trouble. And no! He’s simply not just a relative, he’s more than just that. When all your aunts are teaming up on you asking you to get married. He’s the one who will rescue you. You both do nothing but laugh.

2. The Funny Uncle

He’s the guy who’s older than all of you but looks younger than his age and a confirmed bachelor. He constantly cracks jokes. The most favorite uncle of the entire nephew-niece squad. It’s really hard not to laugh at his jokes. He’s funny, he’s cool, he’s caring all at the same time. He gives you free rides, takes you out for movies every weekend and manages to tempt you with free hamburgers every fucking time you’re on a diet.

3. The Caretaker Aunt

The super cheesey lady in the whole family who doesn’t mind you flirting with her. You can tell her all your secrets and expect her to keep them to herself without a shadow of doubt. She’s the one who’ll understand your situation when everybody else fails to do so. She’ll blow you pecks for every little favour you do for her. You can crack dirty jokes in front of her without any fear of getting scolded. Even if you sneeze, you know she’ll end up taking you to a doctor because she cares!

4. The Spoiled Baby

The youngest spoiled brat in the entire family whose only job is to complain about every little thing. They act like they are always treated unfairly when in reality, they aren’t. They are just little attention seeking morons who want nothing but attention. They’ll hurt themselves and later blame it on you because oh they are the youngest. If you hit them with a tissue paper they’ll cry hell as if you’ve popped their eyes with an arrow.

5. The Forever Young Granny

The youngest lady in the house. Drinks the most at any gathering. She dances with you, sings with you. There’s no way on earth you can convince her she’s growing older because age is just a number. You’ll often spot her making a dirty joke on your grandpa. At every gathering, she’s the celebrity and she’s the boss. She cares for every member in the family, tries her best to keep peace at home.

This Is What Happens When You Are Dehydrated

View the video below to find out why your body – and mind – needs plenty of water.

It is often recommended to have eight glasses of water per day – and a lot more if we are exercising. But exactly how much is the exact quantity needed? And how harmful could dehydration prove to be?

In the following clip, Dallas Campbell experiences a tiresome workout without taking a sip to drink. When he’s done, he has lost sufficient liquid for his blood to become more thick – bringing about his heart to pump more and more in order to compensate for it. However, that is the minimum of his worries as compared to the striking effects with his mental response times – outcomes you might need to consider when you return home from the gym.

Spend Relaxing Weekend… A Possibility or Not?

You leave office at 9pm on a Friday – however your last email is logged at 3am. You accept conference calls on weekend, wake up in frosty sweats over approaching due dates – even during sleep you talk in business language. By Monday morning, you seem as though you’ve spent the entire weekend slouched over their laptop, wired on espresso. It’s hard to believe you ever left the office or simply had time to spend relaxing weekend.

Why is it that people just simply can’t spend relaxing weekend?

Over the globe, the innovation to make work accessible 24 hours a day is adding towards anxiety. The American Institute of Stress assessments work stress costs the US economy about $300 billion in lost productivity consistently. As per exploration by Expedia, just 53% of workers come back feeling rested after they’ve spend relaxing weekend.

In the UK there’s Saturday syndrome, the puzzling inclination of employees to fall sick in their free time – thought to be the outcome of anxiety withdrawal. In the US there’s the 60-hour working week – a practice known to double the risk of a heart attack. In Japan they’ve even created a word for the issue; karoshi, or death by burnout.

For standard office employees like Samantha King, a project manager in the financial services industry in London, even the demonstration of kicking back has ended up unpleasant. “If you don’t have a Facebook status or Instagram post – hashtag doing this, hashtag doing that – if you stay away from social media for half a day, people are like ‘are you OK?’”

Yet, for each groaning partner struggling through Monday. There’s the high-powered superstar who breezes in looking absurdly fresh – even with a much greater workload. Why is it that, while a few people excel, others can’t spend relaxing weekend?

When you bring work-related stress home with you, you’re keeping that physiological response activated. If that continues – well, it’s not good for you,” says Jennifer Ragsdale, a psychologist at University of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

For a considerable length of time, research has analyzed the relative behaviour of weekends. These are spent getting up to speed with work to those lying in an obscured room or going sailing. But this may overlook the main issue, says Ragsdale. “Two people experiencing the same thing, they are going to react to it in different ways.”

Bouncing back

The subject of bouncing back from stress initially aroused Ragsdale’s enthusiasm back in 2011. When she saw recuperation gap among her companions, she’s been endeavoring to reach to it’s bottom from that point onward.

For her study, 183 employees from different businesses reacted to online surveys on a Sunday evening. In which they specify how they’d spend relaxing weekend – and how they felt accordingly. Exercises were arranged into either low exertion (taking a shower) or business related (personal paperwork, replying to emails).

Next, the same employees were tested to decide their enthusiastic nature. They were given a rundown of positive (enthusiastic, interested) and negative (distressed, upset) sentiments, and asked to report how they’d generally feel.
